About the Customer
Suno is an AI music company that makes it possible for anyone to create original songs instantly. Its platform generates complete tracks — including lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation — from simple text prompts, giving both casual users and professionals an accessible way to produce music without traditional skills or equipment.
The Challenge
Suno was preparing to launch a new feature, Hooks —- short, catchy music moments designed for discovery and remixing. The team needed to validate both the concept and multiple design variations. Traditional research methods were too slow: running live usability studies for each iteration would have taken weeks of scheduling, note-taking, and synthesis, delaying a high-priority feature launch.
The Solution
Suno partnered with Dialogue to help solve some of these problems. Dialogue's platform conducted AI-moderated interviews with participants, walking them through the Hooks intro screen and multiple designs. Each participant was asked to interpret the UI, explain expectations, and compare versions. Dialogue AI automatically structured insights, highlighting comprehension issues, preferences, and usability gaps.
Using Dialogue, Suno's team gathered detailed qualitative feedback on multiple feature designs in under 48 hours, without tying up their research staff.
